Concert Programme
Spring Concert: Saturday 26 March
2011 - 'Riches of the Renaissance'
A sequence of unaccompanied music from the late 16th century with
Palestrina's Missa Brevis as the centrepiece of the programme. This will
be interspersed with motets by Victoria commemorating the 400th
anniversary of his death.
Summer Concert: Saturday 25 June
2011 - 'Songs of Love'
Brahms Liebeslieder form the main part of the programme along with songs
by three British composers:
- EJ Moeran: Songs of Springtime
- Parry: Songs of Farewell
- Finzi: Poems by Robert Bridges
The concert will also be joined by the pianists Liz Burtenshaw and Alison
Sutton.
All concerts
take place at St. Marys Church, The Causeway, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12
1HE and start at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available at each concert.
